Dear Amelia,

When we got back from Disney, Devyn and I decided to work on growing our family. We weren’t concerned with the order of things. I didn’t care to get married first and then try. Marriage was a human concept anyway. As was the sentiment of getting married before having a baby. We didn’t need to follow that, and we didn’t plan on it.

Devyn and I played until we passed out. When I woke up, I was in desperate need of blood. At the same time, I felt like something was missing. I didn’t know why, but it felt like Macey, who was always with me, wasn’t.

Devyn was already awake when I woke up and had food, blood, and electrolytes on the way. Once we ate and replenished our energy, we couldn’t keep our hands off each other, and it felt like our bodies and souls were feeding each other. We spent the whole day wrapped up in each other.

No matter how much we slept afterwards, it wasn’t enough. My mom watched Tristan and Grace so Devyn and I could rest. The issue was, I needed more blood. I had already downed three bags of blood, but it wasn’t enough. Not only that, but I was dizzy, and felt sick.

Mom knew what was wrong with me immediately. She knew I was pregnant before I did. Josie confirmed it. And Gaia snickered “surprise!” when I asked her.

I passed out, and when I woke up, I told Devyn the news. At first, I was scared he wasn’t happy about it. We talked about it, but we didn’t expect it to happen that fast. And after the initial shock wore off, he started crying tears of joy. Based on my symptoms, Josie explained I’d have a normal vampire pregnancy. Meaning, I only carried your for four months.

Devyn was over the moon, and so were our parents. But nothing made me happier than giving Devyn what he wanted the most in life- a family.

Within a day he had me on a schedule. I was eating four meals a day, drinking tons of blood, and longing for the gym. It took days to convince him that it was okay for me to work out. He was overprotective, overly excited, and stuck by me at all times. And he bought so many things. Amelia, if you thought Julian was over the top when you got pregnant, just know he was nothing compared to your dad.

I planned to tell Jordan and Stella when they got back, but I wouldn’t tell anyone until I told Tristan first. I planned to tell him, well him and Grace, after I finished with helping with the New Year plans. We were going to have a fair, and I was excited about it.

I found Tristan and Grace, and we met Devyn by the portal. We went to Venice for a canal ride and a gelato making class. At the end of the day, we had dinner at a small hole in the wall place we found. It was a lot of fun, and when we got home, it was time to tell them.

I had been masking my scent ever since I found out I was pregnant. The moment I stopped, Tristan noticed. Devyn gave them the gift we prepared, and when they finally understood, they were beyond excited. They were already planning on how to make room in their lives for you.

Jordan and Stella got back on New Year’s eve, and we did our best to avoid them until we were ready to break the news. After the countdown, we announced it to the whole tribe. The best part was seeing Jordan’s face. Well, that was until he told me Stella was pregnant.

Dear Amelia, Macey was still with me, and as I was coming to, I heard Devyn defending Macey to everyone who was calling her dangerous and evil. Macey heard everything, and when we woke up, she forgave him fully. Because she finally understood why I loved him so much. When he said he loved her…

Dear Diary, Yesterday I was so upset about being grounded that I forgot to tell you about what else happened after the party. Before my parents found out about all the secrets I’d been keeping from them- including the Forbidden Woods- I went with them to the scene to find out what happened and I…

Dear Amelia, This isn’t the beginning of our story, but it is the start. As I’ve said before, Devyn was the only person who didn’t bully me growing up. He was my first friend- though our friendship kind of ended by the time we were old enough to start school. Anyway, while I was wallowing…

Dear Diary, Today is my 18th birthday. I made the mistake of having hope. And thinking that my wish would come true. I should have known better than to have such unrealistic dreams. I didn’t find a mate. I guess that was better than having one and then feeling the pain of getting rejected. Still,…

Dear Amelia, Gaia and I went on our run and ended up under the weeping willow. The same willow I used to visit as my safe place when I first learned how to jump. It was the spot that I felt the most comfortable. We didn’t build out there, because that spot was sacred to…

Dear Amelia, It took me a while to write this letter. Mostly because I don’t have much left to say. But I feel like there wasn’t much closure from the last letter. So I’ll make this the last one, and any other questions you have, I’d suggest you ask your father. If you think everything…
