Stella is the High Priestess, and sometimes I forget that. She hid her pregnancy for two months from everyone. Even Jordan. That alone reminded me of how strong she was.
After celebrating with the tribe and putting the kids to bed, Devyn and I went back to Black Forest. In Italy, it was already well past midnight. But Black Forest is in the States, and six hours behind, so the party was just getting started.
Sadie wanted to catch up to the boys, who were already drunk, so I had to break the news to her. Only she accidently revealed she was also pregnant.
As you know, Sadie is full of surprises. She made illusions, no, they were clones, not illusions. She knew far too many spells. And she was too smart, and too strong for her own good. And sneaky. I love her.
Sadie made an elixir that made you feel drunk without actually drinking. It was safe magic. That didn’t stop Devyn from being pissed. Eventually he got over it when he realized it was safe.
After the count down, Devyn led the pack on the first run of the year. When the run was over, we announced my pregnancy. I also announced that I would have my Luna ceremony after the baby was born, driving the excitement. As if that wasn’t enough good news, Sadie announced her pregnancy. It was a great way to end the night.
Since Sadie, Stella and I were all pregnant at the same time, we had our baby showers together. It was really fun and entertaining. Watching Devyn, Alex and Jordan running around like madmen was easily the best part. Of course, it was nice seeing everyone too.
To be honest, being pregnant with you was a lot easier than my pregnancy with your brother. As long as I had enough blood, I felt great. A vampire pregnancy wasn’t only shorter, but also a lot more tolerable. And I thank the goddesses for it.
This might sound bad, but I was able to enjoy the pregnancy so much more than I did when I was pregnant with Tristan. Mostly because I felt so alone the first time. Yes, I had so much support from my friends, family, and the tribe, but I didn’t have James. And that made me feel alone. Devyn was there, but as a friend.
When I was pregnant with you, Devyn was still there. Except he wasn’t there as a friend. He was there as my mate, my love, and your father. I wasn’t alone. I didn’t feel alone. You were both of ours.
