Dear Amelia,

I know it seems like I forgot about all the mess I was in, but I didn’t. After meeting Mali, I went to my office to work on finishing the book about fae. Gaia taught me how to read her language, and we spent the whole day trying to organize the book. Although we could read it, it didn’t make sense. It was more like scattered notes, not a manual.

I took a break and met with Devyn. When I got home, Jordan called me to his office. Grandpa killed Katrina and Ryan. They were supposed to keep them alive for our plan to work. Yes, we wanted them dead, but not right away. But you know how impulsive Grandpa can be, and his need for revenge took over. Alex was forced to kill Ryan after Grandpa killed Katrina, and they were our leverage.

All that meant was that we had to come up with another plan. Since Grandpa’s part was done, I dismissed him. He didn’t need to be a part of the next phase. When Devyn was done with his meeting, I went to his office to fill him in on what happened.

Devyn called Alex and Sadie into his office, and we brainstormed together what we were going to do. Then I remembered something from the notebook: Fae can’t see through all wiccan magic just as wiccans can’t see through all fae magic. It goes both ways. We didn’t know that before, but we learned it at the right time.

As you know, Sadie has so many wonderful abilities, including the ability to cast illusions. And that was our new plan. We were going to make Colton think that Ryan and Katrina were still alive. As soon as we agreed, I linked Jordan to fill him in.

I spent the rest of the day reading and rereading the book. Still, a lot of it didn’t make sense. Gaia and I had the same thought: the book was an observation, not a bible or manual. It was a shot in the dark, but I reached out to Gaia the Goddess and to my surprise, she appeared.

I asked her straight up why it looked like she was taking notes on the fae as if they were some sort of science experiment. She told me they were. According to her, both she and Hecate created them since Hecate wanted children she didn’t have to carry. The fae were the first supernatural, older than both Vasilia and Stella. They came before Darius and Markus. And they thought of themselves as Gods.

Hecate also showed up. It was the first time I met her, but I didn’t have time for pleasantries. Hecate gave me the name of the other fae, not the one that Stella got the information from, but of the one who looked like James. The one who was working with Colton. Flynn.

There were three things I learned from Hecate’s two short sentences. 1: Flynn’s name. 2: She would not tell me how to kill him. 3: Grace knew how to send him back to his realm.

Dear Amelia, Remember when I told you that Sadie went on an undercover mission to her cousin’s pack? Well, she did come in contact with someone from Colton’s former pack with the same strange magic she found in Jordan. That wasn’t all. The team Devyn had following Colton followed him to a cave outside the…

Dear Amelia, If you want to thank anyone for pushing me into a relationship with Devyn, don’t thank Jordan. Thank your brother. When we finally made it back home from Mexico, Devyn and I took Tristan out for ice cream. Do you know what your brother did when we got there? He asked Devyn to…

Dear Diary, I don’t know if this is some sick joke or if the world isn’t as gray as I thought it was. But something is off. Yesterday, my parents dropped me off at the airport where I met the most handsome man the Goddess ever created. His skin was so smooth and unflawed. His…

Dear Amelia, I know you want to know what happened, and I swore I would tell you one day. The thing is, I didn’t expect you to find my diary, or even read it. There are things in there that I haven’t even told your brother. And I know you’re most curious about your father…
