WHO AM I?

A little back story of who I am and where I come from. I was born in Salem, Oregon (not Massachusetts, I’m not a witch), and grew up in the beautiful rainy city of Portland. It’s the perfect breeding ground for authors.

I really enjoy doing all the things that most people consider boring, like playing Monopoly, reading and going to the library just because. And obviously- writing.

Middle school was the start of my writing journey. I had many notebooks filled with random stories I would start but never finish. That continued into high school and my attempted college career.

I was always afraid to share my stories with the world, so I kept them to myself- until my husband stumbled upon them and annoyingly encouraged me to finish at least one book.

I did. And his eager persistence taught me that I loved writing more than I thought. (If you love my stories, you have him to thank for it. He gave me the confidence to share them with the world.)

Here, you’ll find that I don’t color inside the lines. I don’t fit inside the box. The things that I write and the stories that I tell are very different from the norm. From fantasy to romance to drama and thriller- I dive into them all. (You have authors like Nora Roberts and Nicholas Sparks to thank for that. And more recently, Freida McFadden.)

As with everything, practice makes perfect, and I hope to bring you all along for the ride. I hope you enjoy the journey just as much as I do!
