WHO AM I?

WHERE DO I START....

A little back story of who I am and where I come from. I was born in Salem, Oregon (not Massachusetts, I’m not a witch), and grew up in the beautiful rainy city of Portland. It’s the perfect breeding ground for authors.

I really enjoy doing all the things that most people consider boring, like playing Monopoly. I’m half Mexican and half Black, so it’s a given that I have a large family. I have three siblings, one older and two younger, and a sh*t ton of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family is important and I love them all.

Sometime during my middle school years, I began writing. I had many notebooks and composition books filled with random stories I would start but never finish. That continued into high school.

When I got to high school, I had an assignment for my freshman English class. We were suppose to write a screen play and read it for class. I was always a procrastinator when it came to homework, but somehow, I managed to get it done at the last minute.

When I presented my scrip to the class, I received a ton of positive reviews. Fast forward, I turned that screenplay into a full on novel. It took some time, but I completed it and am currently working on getting it published. However, for now, you can enjoy my other stories.

As with everything, practice makes perfect, and this blog will only make me a better writer. Thanks for joining me on this journey of becoming an author!

HOBBIES

  • Gaming. I love all sorts of games. Video games, board games, mobile games. Each has something fun to offer.
  • Couponing. I love saving money. Those who know me personally, know how I don't do anything or go anywhere without checking my coupons first. Saving money on as many things as I can, makes my wallet happy. A happy allet is a happy Mina!
  • Photography. I’m not a photogenic person, but I love being behind the camera and taking photos!

FUN FACTS

  • I am a huge softball fan. I grew up playing the sport and wished there were more professional teams to watch. I hope one day I’ll get to see a professional league as big as the MLB! GO SOONERS!
  • I love the art of language. I want to learn as many languages as possible!
  • I love watching anime. I feel like there is a lot of great lessons that you can take away from them. Plus, they are just all around great shows to watch.
